Keith Carter

While reading Brooks Jensen's "new" blog, I was introduced to the work of Keith Carter. Keith is on the faculty of the Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. He has a project called Nocturnes, which features black-and-white, contrasty photographs taken (obviously) at night.

Most of his work uses dreamy soft focus around the edges. I encourage to browse through "regular" (daytime) photographs, as well. Keith's website also includes a video interview, as well as all of his books (including a twenty five-year monograph).
